Sierra Unified School District Board of Trustees Interest

Sierra USD Role of the Board:

The Sierra Unified School District Board of Education consists of seven members elected to four-year terms. Elections are held at-large.

The Governing Board has been elected by the community to provide leadership and citizen oversight of the district. The Board shall ensure that district policies align with the district’s vision and goals, promote student learning and achievement, provide for consistent and fair treatment of students and staff, and proactively address equity and the provision of equal access to opportunities for all students.

How MCVF supports education:

Education is important to us, and we hope it is important to you as well. As a group that advocates for our neighbors, Moving the Central Valley Forward has a great interest in promoting educational opportunities which includes:

•  addressing literacy,
•  chronic absenteeism,
•  student safety, and
•  facility upgrades.
